I first started working with Healing for the Heart as an intern when I was studying Community Development at Glasgow University.
Over the past few years, I have developed the Made for More Personal Development Program and I continue to work in our Community Service.
I started my career in administration which I enjoyed but which didn’t scratch the itch I had to work with people. I always loved hearing people’s stories and knew I wanted to work therapeutically with them and eventually I found a way to train as a counsellor. I initially volunteered with Healing for the Heart and then moved into a paid role – a real dream fulfilled moment.
I work as part of the admin team in the office where I speak with onboarding clients and arrange appointments throughout the week. I also run the craft group on a Monday morning which is open to anyone to come along and enjoy.
For our second staff profile, we are introducing you to our Operations Manager Stefan.
If you have been to our centre or phoned Healing for the Heart, you will likely have spoken to Stefan at some point. So you will know he is a friendly and cheery guy!
He is also very hard working and dedicated to creating a brighter future for our service users. Read on to get to know Stefan...
To celebrate World Earth Day 2023, we are sharing our Step Up to Net Zero Coordinator Frances’ story!
Thanks to funding from Circular Glasgow, we have been able to hire Frances Nicoll to help us become a more sustainable organisation.
Keep an eye on our website for more blogs detailing our sustainability project, but first, let’s find out all about Frances.
